Cracked Verses
From AZPoetrypedia
"Cracked Verses" is Tufik Shayeb's first chapbook. Originally released in 2007, this collection both shocked and delighted audiences with Shayeb's most unforgiving verse. The highly controversial first edition prompted several reviewers to decline commentary and was quickly censored in subsequent printings. Author Tufik Shayeb issued a public statement, explaining that "it is the essential role of art to interrogate the absurd... and that is exactly what Cracked Verses aimed to do." By the time this collection went out-of-print, there were less 100 copies in existence.
